KR Myology
Hi, I’m Kristen! I’ve been a Dental Hygienist for 14 years, but my passion for dentistry has always gone far beyond teeth. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply interested in the connection between oral health, airway health, sleep, and overall wellness.
Over the years, I began noticing patterns in my patients that often pointed to something bigger—chronic mouth breathing, clenching and grinding, TMJ symptoms, poor sleep quality, tongue ties, narrow palates, and signs of sleep-disordered breathing. Seeing how frequently these issues were overlooked led me to further my education in airway-focused care and orofacial myology.
In 2025, I graduated from MyoMentor as an Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. Myofunctional therapy focuses on improving the function and coordination of the muscles of the face, tongue, lips, and airway to support proper breathing, swallowing, sleep, oral development, and overall function.
I’m passionate about helping both children and adults better understand the “why” behind their symptoms while supporting healthier breathing patterns, improved oral function, better sleep, and long-term wellness. I love being part of a collaborative approach to care and working alongside other providers to help patients breathe, function, and feel their best.
